AccessAble is the UK’s largest provider of access information.

Experience

We work with over 350 different partners across all sectors; surveying and providing detailed accessibility information to a range of venues, from Universities, Hospitals and Airports – to Hotels, Football Stadia and Shopping Centres – to Bars, Cafes and Shops.

Our training, advice, regular support and insight reports have been used by Estates and Facilities Teams in support of one-off capital development programmes or as part of an ongoing programme of maintenance and sustainability improvements.

We have created the most utilised programme of access information in the UK, through our unique ‘Access Guides’ that are available online www.AccessAble.co.uk and through a mobile app ‘AccessAble’. These Guides have been used by 1.8 million people in the last 12 months.

These ‘Access Guides’ collate over 1000 items of information per building and have been commissioned across all sectors.

Scale

We have a full time team of 35 surveyors and access consultants. We have undertaken projects with 85 Universities, 60 Hospital Trusts, 100 Local Authorities and 100 Private Sector companies.

We have been established since 2000 and have surveyed over 125,000 different venues in that time.

Comprehensive

Our reporting work uses National Best Practice BS8300:2018 and, uniquely – information gathered from our engagement with more than 1,500 different disability groups, the information used is comprehensive but also supports future proofing as it goes beyond what is generally available through other sources. Our support considers ‘access and disability’ from lots of different perspectives, not only mobility impairment, but also learning disability, sensory impairment, dementia, autism and mental health.
